Movie Poster Marketing

Movie marketing used to be all about posters, radio and TV. Well now there seems to be a new person on the block. Well, OK, not that new as technology has been around for a bit now. However seems its only just starting to speed up enough to be taking the market by storm.
What with broadband speeds, downloadable movies and movies to your door. Such megastores such as Blockbusters now have some major competition. Last I heard stores were closing down the competition was that great. Who even remembers posters for movies today. Even popstar poster popularity seem to have long gone. The poster to stick on the wall today for a teenage, if any, seems to be some computer big balloon effort floating in cyberspace that I have no idea what its supposed to be. However teenagers think this are very “far out"and “techie"or some such thing.
Now movies can be had with the touch of a button on your mouse via the PC. You can even watch TV on the PC. Seems together with broadband internet its the new all-in-one. Music, TV, letter delivery in an instant. I wonder if they can make one that makes tea? If you want a DVD to stick into the player rather than downloading you don’t even have to go to the store to rent or buy one. Just sign up for a home delivery DVD service and your set to go. You can even pay for movies individually and see them on the tv or have dedicated movie channels added such as SKY TV has.
With so many ways to obtain movies seems the old way of seeing a great poster and dashing over to your local movie theatre is dieing out fast.
